Your NHS needs you

“Wherever you can help, your NHS needs you”

Back in March this year, I sent a tentative email to the Western Isles Hospital offering to return to work to help out regular staff who were preparing for a Covid-19 influx to the hospital. At the end of last month, I fronted up for my first Orientation shift at the hospital with my new uniform and new shoes. It was great to be back – the staff were welcoming and brought back that old feeling of camaraderie that many nurses feel. I also had a chance to practise my Beginner Gaelic with many of the patients kindly trying to understand my halting attempts.
