Welcome to Island Kids
At Island Kids you’ll find a safe place to chat with your friends, share photos, and even compete against your friends for prizes. There’s also some handy links to things you can do.
This area of the website is open to anyone under the age of 13 who lives in the Uig and Bernera area, but a password is needed. This is just so we can check you are who you say you are, and that you have permission from your parents to use the site. You also will have to agree to our rules.

To protect the privacy of the young ones a password is required to enter the childrens section. Contact us below if you would like the password.

The Important Stuff
The Rules
I know it sounds like we’re being all big and bossy but we just want to make sure we keep everyone safe. The rules are quite simple:
- Be kind. Bullying of any sort will never be tolerated.
- Don’t be rude. That means don’t be rude to other people, and no rude words (that goes for parents too!)
Anyone breaking the rules can be kicked off the site, and of course parents will also be told. We will be checking that the rules are being kept to, but also ask that you help us. If someone is being mean, or rude then we ask that the rest of you simply leave the chat and let us know.
If you’re concerned that someone else might be upset by something that has been said then please also do the same.
This is a place for laughter and kindness. Please remember this.
Safety
In order for us to keep this site as safe as possible we ask that you do not share the password codes with anyone else, other than your parents. That way we can make sure that it’s only Uig and Bernera children, or their parents, who have access to the pages here. If you have a friend who you’d like to join with here get in touch and we’ll tell them all they need to know.
Once you sign up to be a member we’ll then send you a message every time the code needs to change so you can always access the page and the chat.
