Postcards from the Islands

Community gathers here

Welcome to Postcards from the Islands.

Our Postcards from the Islands are short snippets about the lives of those who live locally, including their interests and thoughts on island life.  The Daily Ceilidh has been designed to be as inclusive as possible, so we’d love to hear from you. If you feel able to write a short postcard type piece about something you’re interested in, or something that you’ve been thinking about, please send it to us.  The subject choice is up to you, but we do ask that you keep away from politics, and areas of contention, as we want each piece to appeal to a wide demographic. If you’re able to send some pictures as well, that would be great.

For those who don’t feel able to write a piece themselves, but do have ideas of what they’d like to see featured, we’d also love to hear from you.

Spring has sprung

My Favourite time of year... One of the reasons that this is my favourite time of the year is the new life bursting into being all around us.  Whether it’s the perennial garden plants, long in hibernation, slowly starting to green as new shoots emerge from the ground;...
